11-7. Summer Driver Education Programs

In staffing summer driver education programs, preference shall be based upon seniority at each respective center, subject to established certification, license, and educational requirements. All teachers employed in the summer driver education program must not have received an unsatisfactory summative rating during the preceding school year, and preference shall be given to those who received an excellent or proficient rating as a driver education teacher during the preceding school year. When there are more qualified driver education teachers for summer driver education programs than positions available, preference shall be given to teachers who have taught fewer than two summer sessions immediately preceding the current summer session. Summative ratings may be a consideration.
