13-2. Priority for Coaching Positions

Physical education teachers shall be given priority in coaching positions; however, qualified persons presently serving in coaching positions will not be replaced by this provision. When a physical education teacher at the school does not apply for a vacant coaching position, the staffing priority for selecting qualified candidates who have demonstrated relevant experience and expertise shall be as follows:

  1. Full-time Teacher or PSRP at the school
  2. Part-time Teacher or PSRP at the school
  3. All other Full-time CPS employees at the school
  4. CPS Full or Part-time Teacher or PSRP employed at another CPS school
  5. All other CPS employees, including miscellaneous employees
  6. Non-employee in accordance with Appendix A.3A.
