18-9. Workplace Experience

18-9.1. Credentialed Teachers.

Workplace Experience courses aligned to ISBE Group five courses must be taught by appropriately credentialed teachers in approved programs authorized by the Office College and Career Success.

18-9.2. Requirements.

All teachers of record for Workplace Experience programs are required to have a valid Illinois educator license and have completed either the required 6 semester hours in Administration and Organization of cooperative education offered by a state-approved program or completed a state-approved Workplace Experience Coordinator course.

18-9.3. Review of Credentials.

Credentials for all Workplace Experience teachers will be reviewed and approved by the Department of Career and Technical Education in accordance with rules set by the Illinois State Board of Education.
