21-11. Duties Expected of Special Education Faculty

In directing the work of a special education teacher, a principal shall ensure that the special education teacher is not assigned any duties not related to school special education services. When assigned duties in co-taught classes where the General Education teacher is on an official Leave of Absence, the Principal or a designee shall collaborate with the special education teacher to create a support plan to ensure that the duties of the General Education Teacher are covered. Disagreements over this Section shall be resolved by the special education teacher, the principal and the Professional Problems Committee.
