The BOARD agrees to recruit and hire qualified candidates for positions described in this Article. Provided that there are a sufficient number of qualified candidates, CPS agrees to the following minimum staffing:

49-1.1. Staffing Model.

Except as improved upon by the terms of this Agreement, the BOARD shall commit to follow its Equity staffing model in place for SY2024-25, which provides universal foundation resources to every school with targeted additional resources for schools with greater need, including holistic position allocations, for the duration of the Agreement. This commitment does not constitute a staffing level requirement and affords the Board the flexibility to modify the Equity Staffing Model adopted in SY2024-25 as needed to address fiscal, statutory, or other unforeseen contingencies. During the life of this Agreement, the Board shall not return to Student Based Budgeting.
