21-7. In-Service Meetings

One full-day or two half-day in-service meetings per year for all special education teachers shall be scheduled on professional development days. Such meetings shall be held on an area, district, assignment or similar basis to discuss educational, medical and other topics related to their assignments. After consultation with and consent of the school principals, special education teachers may elect between district-wide or locally provided PD when they are offered on the same day.
