42-3. Head Teacher Positions

All newly created or vacant head teacher positions shall be filled by contract principals in compliance with the applicable provisions of Article 35. Head teachers so selected shall have terms that are co-terminus with the principals who select them, unless removed for unsatisfactory performance. If their terms of office are not extended, they shall be granted all rights and privileges of appointed teachers.
