22-18. Assistive Technology Resource Center
22-18.1. Badges/Office Access.
Central office badges with access to the Garfield Park, downtown, or Bridgeport offices shall be issued to Assistive Technology Itinerants if necessary to performing job responsibilities.
22-18.2. Professional Development.
The BOARD shall allow Assistive Technology Itinerants to attend professional development. during the workday up to two times per semester, with manager approval. Attendance at these sessions will not require the use of paid time off, and to Assistive Technology Itinerants will receive their regular rate of pay for the release time.
22-18.3. Workspace.
Assistive Technology Itinerants shall be provided a workspace at an assigned CPS site. These workspaces shall provide access to desks, printing, WiFi, restrooms, a secure space to store belongings, and drinking water.
22-18.4. Start of Day and End of Day.
Assistive Technology Itinerants shall be permitted to start and end their work day at an assigned CPS site with manager approval.
22-18.5. Equipment.
Assistive Technology Itinerants performing student evaluations shall have access to equipment with potentially needed features (e.g., eye gaze, head pointing, switch scanning).
