49-12. Technology Coordinators

Beginning in the 2025-2026 school year, the BOARD will reduce its reliance on contract Technology Coordinators, with the goal of phasing them out by the end of this Agreement, except for short-term substitute or supplemental services. To support this transition, the BOARD will assign at least two centrally-funded Technology Coordinators to each geographic network in the district for the 2025-2026 school year. Each subsequent year of the contract, one additional centrally-funded Technology Coordinator will be added to each network, resulting in a total of at least four Technology Coordinators per network by the end of the Agreement. Any part-time or full-time Technology Coordinator (excluding employees whose last rating was unsatisfactory) laid off at the conclusion of SY2023-24 shall be given the first opportunity to apply for a Network role position if one is open and vacant within two (2) years of the effective date of the layoff. The intent of this provision is to supplement, not replace, school-based Technology Coordinator roles.
